‘Fit For Life At Last’ and the Crotchety Old Man

I’m just a crotchety old man who woke up one day, sick and tired of being, well, sick and tired.

Like many others of my generation, my diet pretty much sucked. I didn’t have a consistent eating plan, either good or bad; I just ate what I felt hungry for at the time.

My exercise routine consisted of getting into and out of my car. When that got to be too much, I switched from the compact car to the Jeep. It was much easier to get in and out of, gas prices be damned.

And every day felt just about like the one before, except by the end of the week, I felt drained. Exhausted. Depleted.

Nothing was so wrong that I could point my finger and say, “Aha, that’s it! That’s where my problem is.” I wasn’t horribly overweight; I didn’t suffer from any severe or chronic illnesses; my blood pressure wasn’t terribly high, cholesterol just on the upper end of healthy; most of my organs were functioning in what they call the ‘normal’ range. There was no one single problem that needed attention.

Each day I pretty much did what I’d done the day before. And each day, I woke up a little more sick and tired … of being sick and tired.

Then one day it occurred to me that maybe, just maybe, if I took one little step, did one thing differently, that might make a difference. And it also occurred to me that maybe I’m not the only one going through life feeling this way.

And that’s what this website is all about: Helping you take that one first step, that opens a new path to a new lifestyle. A lifestyle of feeling better, with more choices along the way for the next ‘first step.’

It is my sincere hope that you find a lot of ‘first steps’ here on this site …
